Women Coaches Symposium

Her Next Play will be facilitating two break out sessions for student athletes at the 2020 Tucker Center Women Coaches Symposium:

Shine Bright as You Launch Your Career

Competition for top internships, coaching jobs, and entry level opportunities in all fields is fierce.  Fortunately, student-athletes have an edge in this competitive landscape. Discover how to use the competitive mindset you’ve developed as an athlete to shine bright and stand out in your early career.  Through case studies, and interactive exercises, learn how to build your professional brand, market the skills you’ve developed as an athlete, and differentiate yourself as you launch your career.

Build Your Constellation of Connections

As an athlete, you have a support system of coaches, teammates, trainers, fans, friends, and family.  As an emerging professional, building a constellation of career support is just as critical, but many student-athletes miss opportunities to create the connections they’ll need to successfully transition from sport to career.

Through stories, case studies, and exercises, discover how to build professional relationships and create networks of support.   Learn how to find and approach mentors and sponsors, and build and maintain professional connections to help you successfully navigate your early career.
