Her Next Play celebrated National Girls and Women In Sports Day at events celebrating Minnesota's most inspiring and influential student-athletes, coaches, and athletic leaders.
We started the day at the Minnesota Coalition of Women in Athletic Leadership (MCWAL) event, where college athletes read SEE US Program Manager Court Place's "Redefining Strong" book to girls, and select girls and women were honored for their contributions to women's sports in Minnesota.
Later in the day, Her Next Play was part of a National Girls and Women in Sports day program hosted by the Academy for Women's Empowerment hosted at The Riveter. Moderated by Her Next Play Advisory Council member Lea B. Olsen, an inspiring panel of women athletes shared the role sports has played in their leadership development.
