SESSION #1: YOUR SUPERPOWER

Tuesday, February 23rd at 7:30 pm

Student-athletes build incredible leadership skills through sport. Yet it can be challenging to identify and translate those skills and experiences to life and careers. During this interactive session, student-athletes will:

  • Lean how to articulate the transferrable skills they are learning as a student and as an athlete

  • Identify their "superpower" - what strength differentiates them and drives their success

  • Understand how their "superpower" translates to their career

SESSION #2: INSIDE SCOOP HIRING CASE STUDY

Monday, March 15th at 7:30 pm

Student-athletes get the inside scoop on the hiring process as they work through an interactive case study where they play the role of the recruiter and "hire" a marketing coordinator. Student-athletes:

  • Learn how recruiters review resumes, and evaluate candidates through job fairs, interviews, and social media

  • Discover how to stand out in each step of the hiring process

SESSION #3: BUILDING YOUR TEAM FOR CAREER SUCCESS

April, date and time TBD

Creating a successful career is 100% a team sport. Building a team and professional community will help student-athletes make career decisions, look for internships and find new job opportunities. During this interactive session, student-athletes will:

  • Learn how their network will help them successfully transition from college to career

  • Learn tips and strategies to help them build a new team, and overcome fears about networking

  • Develop and practice their professional introduction / pitch to use as they make connections
